Summerfest may be several weeks away, but it's exactly the right time to start getting pumped for the Big Gig as the summer music festival announced this week as Live Music at the Lakefront Week – five days of promos, ticket deals and reveals to get you excited for Summerfest, topped with the Foo Fighters' concert on Friday, the renovated Amp's first show.

The Big Gig's big week begins today with the reveal of the festival's $25 All-In concert ticket deal, offering a limited number of $25 tickets for Amphitheater headliner shows. The tickets will go on sale beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28 at Summerfest's website and Ticketmaster while supplies last (only four tickets per transaction), and will be available for the following shows:

Include a general admission ticket valid for any day of Summerfest

  • Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer (Sept. 1)
  • Jonas Brothers (Sept. 8)

Include a general admission ticket valid for the day of the show

  • Luke Bryan (Sept. 2)
  • Chance the Rapper (Sept. 3)
  • Twenty One Pilots (Sept. 4)
  • Zac Brown Band (Sept. 10)

Summerfest has plenty more on deck to celebrate the rest of Live Music at the Lakefront Week, beyond just the All-In ticket deal. On Tuesday, the Big Gig will reveal more headliners along with the updated annual lineup poster, while Wednesday will offer a sneak peek of the new Generac Power Stage (formerly the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse). Thursday will feature another ticket deal – a buy one, get one promotion on Ticketmaster for the upcoming Little Big Town/BoDeans Amp show on Friday, Aug. 13. – before the week wraps up in rockin' style with the Foo Fighters lighting up the Amp on Friday.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more Summerfest updates as the world's largest music festival's grand return gets closer.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
