The 8th Annual 12 Bars of Christmas – which is actually more than 12 bars this year – takes place Saturday, Dec. 11 from noon to 6 p.m. So throw on an ugly sweater and head down to the Water Street / Third Ward bar districts to help Swarmm Events raise more than $2,000 for Toys for Tots.

Tickets purchased before Dec. 5 are $15; $20 after or on the day of the event.  Groups of four can purchase a pass for $50. Go here for tickets.

Participants receive a complimentary mug and a lanyard passport for drink specials at the participating bars. Plus, a portion of every ticket goes towards Toys for Tots, a longstanding organization that provides gifts for local kids.

Mug and lanyard pickup takes place at Brothers Bar, 1213 N. Water St., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11.

Participating bars include Red Rock, Brothers, Duke's, BarNone, Pourmans, Mcgillycuddys, Elwoods, Mojo, Trinity, Harp, Vagabond, Whitetail, Third Street Tavern, Whos on Third, Oak Barrel, RWB, Brat House, Loaded Slate, Taco Mikes, Deer Camp, Buck Bradleys, Uncle Bucks and possibly more.

Ho ho help the kids, Milwaukee.
