Milwaukee Art Museum Director of Exhibitions Laurie Winters is leaving the MAM to become the president and executive director of The Art Consortium, Inc.
Since joining the MAM in 1997, Winters has organized some of the museum's best-attended shows, including "Leonardo da Vinci and the Splendor of Poland: A History of Collecting and Patronage" (2002-2003), "Rembrandt and His Time: Masterworks from the Albertina" (2005-2006), and "Biedermeier: The Invention of Simplicity" (2006-2007).
As president and executive director of The Art Consortium, Winters will help implement new thinking and collaborations among museums around the world.
