This weekend, Milwaukee sees the return of two of their hip-hoppers.

Adebisi and SigNif have both moved to New York City to put them in a place closer to the music industry as they chase their dream.

Since leaving, SigNif's stock has steadily risen with every project. Though still very underground, her music is reaching lots of people through the many blogs that post about her. A true emcee, SigNif is not one to follow the path the typical female rapper follows as she relies on skill and storytelling instead of overt and crass sexual music.

Adebisi, who the greater portion of Milwaukee knows as the former front man of the WAMI award-winning group Fresh Cut Collective, left Milwaukee last year at the height of FCC's popularity for the chance at something greater.

He landed an internship with former Roc-A-Fella executive Dame Dash and has been working on solo music – in no relation to Dash – which led to the recently released "The Blaxploitation Mixtape" and the continuation of time put into a new album.

Pooling their talents together, the two emcees decided to book a return show together for this Saturday at Mad Planet. This is a rare hometown performance for both artists, but specifically more so for SigNif as Adebisi has done a handful of shows in Milwaukee since he's left – though mainly with Fresh Cut Collective.

Joining them on stage for the night will be Amerika's Addiction and Him & Her, a DJ duo made up of Jank One and DJ Venus.

Door for the event open at 9 p.m. and there is a cover charge for the show.

Here's a newer "street" music video of one of Adebisi's songs from "The Blaxploitation Mixtape." The track is called "Closer."
