Hey Milwaukee, benefit concert Pablove III is coming Jan. 28!
For those who don't know exactly what Pablove is, The Pablove Foundation is an organization that was established to raise money to fund pediatric cancer research and boost advances in treatment. The foundation also does what they can to help improve the quality of life for kids with cancer, utilizing different programs that include music and the arts.
The Pablove Foundation holds a host of events each year across the country, and one of those annual events is a benefit concert held in Milwaukee, which is now in its third year of existence.
Jeff Castelaz, CEO of indie label Dangerbird Records and co-founder of Pablove, is a native Milwaukeean, and his wife, also co-founder of Pablove, established The Pablove Foundation in honor of their late son Pablo Castelaz, who passed away in 2008 due to cancer.
This year's benefit concert will be held once again at the Turner Hall Ballroom and features Butch Walker as the headliner. In addition to Walker the event will host a plethora of quality Milwaukee bands and artists. Herman Astro, Fatty Acids, Testa Rosa, El Oso, Ragadors, Canopies, AUTOMatic and Crime Family are all set to perform.
Tickets for the show can be purchased at the Turner Hall website, with special VIP seating also available for the show. Children are also welcome at this show and kids 12 and under get a hefty discount. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
Born in Milwaukee and raised in the Milwaukee suburb of Brown Deer, Concordia University Wisconsin alumnus Poppe has spent the majority of his life in or around the city and county of Milwaukee.
