After taking a week off from writing, I found myself with a plethora of stuff to cover when I finally navigated back to my computer ... too much stuff to get everything covered in a timely fashion. So, I have to do another "lump it all together" post in an attempt to clear my queue.
First, the now-L.A. resident Kid Cut Up released a new mash-up video and track. This time the Kid mashes Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing" with Aloe Blacc's "I Need A Dollar," forming "What Till I Get A Dollar."
A little while back Coo Coo Cal's newest endeavor – F.U.P. Mob – released an "animated" music video for their single "Sit High."
While the video is lackluster and the other rapper in F.U.P. Mob isn't the greatest on this track, Coo Coo rips this track up and shows why he once had "million-dollar vocal chords." The beat on this also goes in.

The Madlib of Milwaukee recently released "Haz Solo's Jackson 5 Days of Christmas" which is an outside-of-the-box dismantling and recreation of some Jackson 5 holiday tunes, in only a way that Haz could bring to the table.
Okay, are you done with Christmas now? Good. Haz Solo has a little something for you for New Year's as well – "SCSI Dreams." I mean, it is still a new year.
Songstress Gina Barrington recently released a 7" featuring her songs "Cupid" and "Don't Pull My Trigger."
The sultry singer is surrounded by music that sounds like it could fit as an opening track to any of the James Bond films from the '70s.
