Unlooped is one the more intriguing series of shows in Milwaukee and the co-brainchild of Unlooped, Tarik Moody, is showing no signs of stopping after an impressive Unlooped vs. Dilla event that happened earlier this fall.
Moody has announced two new shows in the Unlooped series. The first will be Dec. 2 at bSide (above Ginger) and will feature Haz Solo, J Todd, adoptahighway and Dave Olson (Plight of a Parasite, Figureheads). The show has been dubbed "Winter Beats," and Moody has released a "Winter Beats" sampler that also acts as a soft launch for the newly established Unlooped Records.
Doors will open at 10 p.m. and there is a small cover charge for admission. Moody also promises some special treats will be provided by Milwaukee's Great Lakes Distillery.
You can stream and download the promo sampler here.
The second show will continue the Vesus version of Unlooped with Moody and friends deconstructing and reanimating the work of Bon Iver's Justin Vernon.
The show is set for Feb. 25 and will feature Gina Barrington, Brendan Benham (Group of The Altos), Haz Solo, Allen Cote, Dave Olson and Alida LaCosse.
More information about this show will be released in the coming months.
