The WAMI nominees are in!
This year, Milwaukee hip-hop dominates the rap and hip-hop category.
The nominees are (in alphabetic order):

AUTOMatic
Fresh Cut Collective
KingHellBastard
Off Tha Hook
Prophetic
Fresh Cut Collective is the only Milwaukee hip-hop artist to also find themselves nominated in another category. Their self-titled album released last year was nominated for "Album of the Year."
The winners will be announced on April 17th at Turner Hall. All information about the event, including ticket sales and the list of all the other nominees can be found at the WAMI website.
Also, shout out to OnMilwaukee.com for being nominated for a WAMI in the category of "Print/Media."
Born in Milwaukee and raised in the Milwaukee suburb of Brown Deer, Concordia University Wisconsin alumnus Poppe has spent the majority of his life in or around the city and county of Milwaukee.
