The award-winning documentary, “Angels of Dirt,” tells the story of fearless women motorcycle racers, including the late Charlotte Kainz who passed away from injuries sustained during a flat-track race in 2016. It’s 90-minutes of inspiration and heartbreak.

The screening takes place Saturday, Jan. 18 at The Times Cinema, 5906 W. Vliet St. The film starts rolling at 7 p.m.; doors open at 6 p.m. The cost of advance tickets is $25 per person and includes the film, a beer tasting from Water Street Brewery and two raffle tickets. Tickets are $15 for students. Tickets are available at the door the night of the event for $30.

Filmmaker Wendy Schneider will be in attendance to share her experiences making the movie and her life with the moto racing community.

BUILD Moto Mentor Program, a non-profit educational organization dedicated to pairing teams of high school students with bike-building mentors, will receive all of the proceeds. The organization is a collective effort to learn valuable life and interpersonal skills through working on motorcycles.

"Angels of Dirt" received a "Best Documentary" award from the Wisconsin Film Festival and an "Excellence in Filmmaking" recognition from the Driftless Film Festival.
