There’s a brand new restaurant to enjoy on Milwaukee’s East Side. Arlanderz  Chicken & Fish quietly opened this weekend at 1814 N. Farwell Ave. in the former home of Pho 43.

The restaurant, which offers a carry-out menu featuring wings, fried chicken, catfish, perch and Southern sides, is owned by Andre Arlander Horton, a young entrepreneur who got his start making home-made hot sauce which he sold to area grocery stores (including spots like Bunzel's Meat Market) before opening his first restaurant, Arlanderz Soul Food in 2018 at W186 N9539 Bancroft Dr, Menomonee Falls. The photo above shows a fish fry from the Menomonee Falls location.

Horton’s second location features a pared down menu focusing on chicken and fish, plus larger portions that feed an entire family.

Options include chicken wings (ranging in price from $9.99 for six or $14.99 for a dozen to 100 pieces for $104); chicken tenders (four pieces for $7.50; twelve for $14.99) or  fried chicken (three pieces for $8; six for $14; ten for $18 or 20 for $25). All meals come with a side of French fries.

Fish selections include a choice of catfish filets (two pieces for $8.99; four for $15 or ten for $25) or ocean perch (two pieces for $7.99; four for $14; or $23 for ten). Both are served with fries and coleslaw.

Additional sides ($2.99 each) include fried okra, French fries, onion rings, hush puppies, coleslaw and rolls (two per order). There’s also peach cobbler or banana pudding for dessert ($4).

Arlanderz hot sauce is (of course) a signature at the restaurant and can be purchased by the bottle for $5.

You can follow the restaurant on Facebook at Arlanderz Hot Sauce and on Instagram at Arlanderz_. Their phone number for call-in orders is (414) 837-5151.

Arlanderz Chicken & Fish is open Monday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.,  Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday  from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and  Thursday through  Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The original Menomonee Falls location also remains open.
