The realization of the American dream continues for chef/owner Rehab Aris. Her tiny little Lebanese restaurant has quietly established itself as one of the best in the city and has added yet another delicious thread to the multicultural tapestry of Milwaukee's Brady St. Her bright red chef's hat attests to the pride she has found in displaying her work and the love she has for her new country. A trip to her restaurant will introduce you a most gracious lady.

Decor

Nestled next to Glorioso's Market, the tiny 25-seat café offers a dining experience similar to that of a friend's house and less than a dozen small tables fill the space. Each customer is considered a welcomed guest and the hospitality is some of the friendliest in town.

This remarkable lady has developed quite a reputation for serving some outstanding Middle Eastern cuisine with a French influence. While Au Bon Appetite may be one of the smallest restaurants in the area, there is no shortage of flavors found on the plate. Hummous, Falafel and Tabouli all receive a light wholesome touch, and the quality is so good that many area markets now sell the product. Milwaukee's own Midwest Express serves it on their flights. The Poulet'Basquez is the signature item not to be missed. It's a boneless breast of chicken, slowly simmered with peppers, white wine and topped over a small mountain of rice. Rosewater lemonade, and what is simply the best chocolate mousse in the city, round out a remarkable meal.

Anything goes on Brady St. The dining room is always filled with the sounds of people enjoying themselves and the food.
