The summer movie season is here – not just at theaters but at Bayshore, which will once again host its free Family Flicks outdoor movie series complete with the addition of some bonus live entertainment beyond its featured presentations.
Hosted on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. throughout the summer in The Yard, Bayshore's central green space, Family Flicks will screen a selection of some of the biggest movies in recent years – including all-ages-approved blockbusters like "The Super Mario Bros. Movie," "Wonka," "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish," "Elemental" and "Kung Fu Panda 4." The films will show on the giant screen overlooking The Yard, with food trucks and other vendors surrounding the grounds during the night.
It's not just the titles that are new to this year's lineup, though, as an hour before each movie rolls, Family Flicks will also host special off-screen entertainment in the space. The pre-show lineup includes live animals, bouncy houses, fairy tale princesses come to real life and other family-friendly demonstrations and displays.
So, with no further ado, here's the lineup of fun – both on the big screen and off – coming to Bayshore this summer with the Family Flicks movie series:

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
