Sugar Maple

Milwaukee didn't get the nickname Brew City, nor did it name a professional sports team after beer, because we have merely a passing acquaintance with hoppy beverages. We love beer here – and when it comes to best collection of brews in Brew City, according to OnMilwaukee readers, no bar does it better than Bay View's Sugar Maple.

Talk about consistency: With this year's win, the Bay View beer haven has claimed this prize from the voters for ten whole years – a decade of delicious beer dominance. How does Sugar Maple do it? Having 60 American craft beers on draft and a warmly decorated space regularly pouring up tastings and events in the middle of bustling downtown Bay View will certainly do the trick.

They may be the best, but there's no shortage of other strong suds-slinging options in our lovely beer-loving burg, as the rest of the top five deliciously demonstrates. Cafe Hollander scored second place from voters while the Walker's Point sports staple Steny's claimed the bronze. Another Bay View favorite, Burnhearts, came in fourth while Stubby's Gastrogrub rounds out the finest foamy five.

OnMilwaukee editors' pick: Draft & Vessel

With 22 delectable draft lines rotating tasty and unique brews in and out as well as a cozy, woodsy space perfect for saving cold brews and warm conversation, this Shorewood hotspot is a winner for the OnMilwaukee editors. And apparently the city agrees, as the tap room is growing out to Tosa Village later this year.

Runners-up:
2. Cafe Hollander
3. Steny's
4. Burnhearts
5. Stubby's Gastrogrub & Beer Bar
