Camp Bar

For eight years, the Safe House was the city's best theme bar, according to OnMilwaukee readers.

Actually, it was nine years, but last year, Safe House faced some stiff competition, topping Camp Bar by just two votes.

This year, building on its momentum, Camp Bar unseated Downtown’s legendary Safe House to win its first Best Theme Bar title in the OnMilwaukee Best of Bars readers survey.

In announcing last year’s results we warned, "Safe House better watch its back ... because Camp Bar is coming." It has now arrived.

With its woodsy, Up North cabin vibe and delectable cocktails, Camp Bar is a formidable opponent, and a great place to gather with friends for a night out, be it in Shorewood, Tosa or the Third Ward.
