OnMilwaukee.com readers picked Culver’s as their favorite local fast food joint.

Culver’s is a chain that’s based in Prairie du Sac. The first hamburger-and-custard eatery opened in 1984 in Sauk City, and today, there are 390 Culver’s restaurants in many parts of the country.

Culver’s is famous for its butter burgers and frozen custard. The menu also features fried chicken, pork, fish, salads and specialty sundaes. Culver’s features its own brand of root beer, too.
