For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

As in previous years, OnMilwaukee.com readers have expressed a strong preference for the fish fry at Lakefront Brewery Palm Garden and its festive beer hall atmosphere. This year, Lakefront captured a quarter of all votes, handily winning it the title once again.

The Packing House was second with just over eight percent.

Milwaukee is a hard workin', Friday fish fry kind of city. There are lots of good ones and even a nice selection of great ones. There were more than 200 votes for fish fries at places other than the 15 on our list, but none captured enough votes to displace our nominees. But the sheer number of vote getters shows how many beloved fish fry venues there are in this town.

Each one fits a little differently and so, everyone has their own preference based on location, atmosphere, type of fish, side dishes and more. With the Brewhaus Polka Kings setting the mood, the Palm Garden's Fish Fry has become a can't-miss on Friday nights and regularly fills up fast.

The OnMilwaukee.com editors picked Kegel's Inn, on the South Side, for its old world charm and its amazing food.
