Black Husky Brewing, 909 E. Locust St., in Riverwest is hosting its first talent show fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 3 until 7 p.m. If you've got what it takes, they're still accepting acts.
"This year we’re doing Milwaukee’s Got Talent show to support Savage Support which provides non-medical support to individuals going through breast cancer treatment," says co-owner Tim Eichinger.
"Things like shopping, house cleaning, the daily stuff that gets really difficult when you’re going through treatment."
Junior's Barbeque will be onhand with food, and, of course, there will be beer.
But don't expect this to be like your typical talent show, Eichinger says.
"Because it's Black Husky, this will be the worst talent show in that just because you have talent doesn’t mean you’ll win and there is no prize for the winner," he cautions.
"Spectators vote for the various acts and we use Chicago Style Voting: vote early and vote often. So you buy tickets for $1 each and vote for the act you want to support regardless of their talent or lack thereof."
As an example, Eichinger is teaming up with Tyler Senz from Lakefront to do a duet, other brewery folks will be telling dad jokes, there will be a belly dancing act, musicians and more.
If you want to contribute to this melange (mayhem?), email a two-minute demo to Tim at tim@blackhuskybrewing.com.
