Brew City Conversations is OnMilwaukee’s newest podcast. Each week host John Hand will sit down and speak with a different Milwaukeean who has an interesting story and something to say. Hopefully, these conversations will entertain, inform and help connect the community.

This week’s guest is Lincoln Fowler, the co-founder and co-owner of local coffee company Colectivo. The Colectivo story is the story of passionate entrepreneurship, and Fowler discusses how he and his brother Ward, along with their business partner Paul Miller, turned a struggling speaker business into a thriving chain of coffee cafes.

Fowler goes into detail about selling the name Alterra to Mars Inc. and the creation of the current name, and also talks about Colectivo’s upcoming 25-year anniversary, where its coffee beans come from and the stores’ expansion into Chicago.
