Bucks versus Nets. It's a matchup many predict near the end of the 2021-22 season – but it's undoubtedly how the season is going to begin.
The NBA announced today that the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks will tip-off the entire league season with a rematch against the Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets at Fiserv Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The game – where the Bucks will receive their NBA champion rings and officially raise a Finals banner into the rafters for the first time in 50 years – will be broadcast on TNT.

That's not all: For the fourth straight season, the Milwaukee Bucks will play a Christmas Day game, the league's prime regular season showcase. The NBA champs will host the Boston Celtics at 1:30 p.m. – the second game in the league's signature holiday quintuple-header – on Saturday, Dec. 25, on ABC. The day's other NBA games include Hawks at Knicks, Warriors at Suns, Nets at Lakers and Mavericks at Jazz.
Yes, you may be remembering the Green Bay Packers also play on Christmas Day this year, kicking off at Lambeau against the Cleveland Browns at 3:30 p.m. So for Sconnie sports fans, Christmas truly will be the most wonderful time of the year.
As for the rest of the Milwaukee Bucks schedule, the full regular season slate is expected to drop on Friday, Aug. 20 at 2 p.m. – so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for that. And an early merry Christmas to you all! (Except for the Philadelphia 76ers, who were not invited.)
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
