The Big Ragu is now ra-gone as the Bucks reportedly traded Donte DiVincenzo in a four-team swap that also brings center Serge Ibaka and two second-round picks to Milwaukee.

First reported by NBA super-insiders Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN and Shams Charania of The Athletic, the trade deadline deal includes the Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons. Milwaukee rececives Ibaka and the two picks while DiVincenzo heads to the Kings – the second time DiVincenzo has been traded to Sacramento after the infamously nixed Bogdan Bogdanovic deal in 2020. Meanwhile, Bucks newcomers Semi Ojeleye and Rodney Hood head to Los Angeles.

Drafted by the Bucks with the 17th pick in 2018, the March Madness phenom from Villanova averaged 8.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and a steal over his time in Milwaukee. Not eye-popping numbers – but DiVincenzo was a critical cog in the Bucks' evolution into an NBA Finals champion, starting a vast majority of the team's games as a Swiss army knife player who fought for rebounds, could hit big outside shots and played tough defense. He put up career-best numbers during the 2020-21 campaign – with highs in points, rebounds and assists – before an ankle injury early in the postseason against the Miami Heat, sidelining him for the rest of the Bucks championship run and much of this current season.

Combine his injury recovery with the improved play of Pat Connaughton and the addition of Grayson Allen in a similar position on the Bucks, and DiVincenzo's departure from Milwaukee is not a surprising development. Especially when you consider what the defending champions got back: Serge Ibaka, an aging but still very capable center who plays impressive rim-protecting defense and can even step out and hit some jump shots (including threes) on the other end. Those are all things the Bucks need while Brook Lopez continues resting his mysterious back injury until God knows when.

Well, surely this is the big trade deadline deal everyone's talking about on NBA Twitter – but in case the Bucks make any more moves, stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
