The 6th annual Battle of the Chefs event, presented by SamanthaStarr Events, will take place Sunday, Sept. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Factory on Barclay, 1120 S. Barclay St.  Tickets for the event can be purchased online.

About the event 

The community-centric event combines the elements of a friendly chefs’ competition, a lush tasting event and a silent auction with the mission of acknowledging and elevating the work of local chefs from Milwaukee's evolving culinary scene. Plant-based options will be available as well as a full cash bar. Cocktail attire is strongly suggested.

The evening will also feature special guest DJ and MC, DJ Lolo. The judging panel for the event will include Jasmine Johnson, vice president of sales for iHeart Media; Alex Hanesakda, owner and chef of SapSap; David Magnasco, owner and executive chef of The Chef's Table; PhilWaukee, Phil the Culture; and Lori Fredrich, Dining Editor for OnMilwaukee.

A portion of the proceeds from the 2022 event, along with 100% of the silent auction proceeds, will be donated to Teens Grow Greens, an organization dedicated to offering teens experiences which cultivate the life and leadership skills and connections needed to enable them to become active agents for positive change and community actualization.
