It’s the freakin’ Catalano Beer Mixer!
On Friday, the annual block party, which spawned from the Ayre in the Square concert series in Catalano Square, announced their 2025 lineup of bands. This year’s block party will take place on Saturday, September 27th on Menomonee St., right outside of Club Charlies and The Copper Turtle in the Third Ward.
The party, now in its second year, will also feature a host of local breweries, food trucks, and vendors, with additional offerings from Point Brewery, Broken Bat Brewing, goodies from Canni-MKE, 414 Milwaukee, The Shoppe, Bavette, and many more area establishments.
Music at this year’s event will take the stage from 2-8 p.m., and will feature a diverse array of bands spanning from jazz to funk to indie rock and more. It will also boast a lineup that mashes up relative newcomers with established veterans, culminating in an all-out dance party with Funk Summit Bass Team. The lineup is as follows:
- 2 p.m. - The GIL Jazz Combo
- 3 p.m. - Fairy Astronaut
- 4 p.m. - Killer High Life
- 5 p.m. - Pulpa de Guyaba
- 6 p.m. - Paul Filipowicz
- 7 p.m - Funk Summit Bass Team
You can also support the Catalano Beer Mixer on Friday night (July 18) at Club Charlies during Gallery Night in the Third Ward. The Friends of Catalano Square will be hosting a fundraiser event featuring stripped down sets from Sean McGibany of Oh Geeez, Not Again, as well as Singer-Songwriter Hanna Simone. A silent auction featuring items from several local businesses is currently live inside the Restaurant until 9 p.m. Proceeds from the event will help fund this year’s block party. Donations are also accepted via Venmo to @CatalanoSquare.
Don’t miss out on one of the last great block parties of the Milwaukee summer. It’s the freakin’ Catalano Beer Mixer! Pow!
