Charcuterie is my love language. It is a cathartic and creative outlet for me and my love of cured meats, cheeses, fruits and nuts has manifested itself into one fun business.

Charcuterie is, in my opinion, the best appetizer and pièce de résistance to any table for any reason, especially when in good company.

If you’re looking to make your own, do not be intimidated. The magic behind a seriously epic board is variety with visually pleasing and palate-popping pieces. I’ve listed a few of my top recommendations below:

Meaty: Use a variety of meats and salamis, three or more selections make for a balanced and hearty board.

Cheesy: For a visually appealing spread, plate an odd number of cheeses, use a variety of cheeses, both soft and hard.

Get pickled: Pickled vegetables and/or some good olives are a fantastic pairing with meats and a must on a board.

Sweetie: Chocolate of any and all kinds can be a great addition to any board. And to your life.

Fruity: Red and green grapes and/or a bright berry mix add a pop of color and and bright freshness.

Nutty: Marcona almonds, cashews, and pistachios add that nutty crunch that is so pleasing to the palate.

I hope these tips help and inspire you on creating your next charcuterie board!
