“Next Level Chef,” a brand new culinary competition created by Chef Gordon Ramsay, is slated to debut on FOX Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. CST following the NFL on FOX doubleheader.

The brand new competition will feature a combination of professional cooks, amateur home cooks, social media stars, food truck operators and everyone in between, all vying for a $250,000 grand prize.

Among them is Zachary Adams, a native of the Philippines who was raised in Milwaukee, whose work includes experience in the kitchen at View MKE and Third Coast Provisions. Adams is currently sous chef at the North Shore Country Club.

Adams, along with 14 other contestants, will make their “climb to the top” working on one of three teams led by mentors and judges Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington or Richard Blais. During each episode, the teams will work on one of three levels of a massive 49-foot-tall set which features a state-of-the-art kitchen, an average restaurant grade kitchen and a bare bones kitchen. From the basement to the top floor, the chefs need to showcase their creativity on all levels in order to make it to the top.

After its Jan. 2 debut, “Next Level Chef” will move to its regular FOX slot on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. CST.
