The Great Milwaukee Summer is HERE! Your guide to what you'll be doing, where you'll be drinking, who you'll be hearing and how you'll be getting a sweet tan this summer is on OnMilwaukee. The Great Milwaukee Summer guide is brought to you by Educators Credit Union and Harley-Davidson Museum

If you've gone outdoors for even just a few seconds today, you know the air's not right. Due to the ongoing Canadian wildfires, the United States has experienced some bizarre and unhealthy air quality situations this summer – and this week, it's Milwaukee's turn, with concerningly smoggy air expected to continue into Thursday

Health experts recommend staying inside as much as possible – especially those particularly at risk, like older adults and those who are pregnant. And with those concerns (literally) in the air, Bay View's Chill on the Hill announced this afternoon that tonight's concert – featuring the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra – has been canceled.

"Due to the unsafe outdoor air quality, we have made the decision with the MSO to cancel tonight's show," posted Chill on the Hill on its Facebook page. "The health of both our performers (and) our guests is of utmost importance. Take care of yourselves, and we hope to see you next time, July 11!"

Chill on the Hill is expected to return to its Humboldt Park stage on Tuesday, July 11, with Bella Brutto and Barb Stephan scheduled to perform. (A non-Chill on the Hill Fourth of July celebration is scheduled for next Tuesday in the park.) For the whole lineup, click here

For any other outdoor activities or events over the next few days, double check with individual social media accounts and websites for updates as the area deals with this smoky air. And for updates on the air quality around Milwaukee and how long it's expected to be this problematic, read up on the City of Milwaukee Health Department's air quality advisory and check AirNow's website for current air quality information and forecasts.

And if you need something to distract you while you're stuck inside, here's 100 movies on Netflix worth watching.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
