It's a bird!

It's a plane!

No, it's the specially-rigged chopper that was most recently used in Chicago for the feature film "Batman."

It's in Downtown Milwaukee today and will be used to shoot establishing shots of the city for  the new NBC pilot, "Backyards and Bullets"/"The Watch" (working titles).

Rumor is that the opening sequence of the pilot will include shots of Milwaukee's Lakefront, the Milwaukee Art Museum, Wisconsin Avenue and possibly some surburban scenes, too.

A life-long and passionate community leader and Milwaukeean, Jeff Sherman is a co-founder of OnMilwaukee.
