Not headed out to celebrate? Enjoy a Cayman Jack margarita at home! Grab a new variety pack at your local shop. 

With the number of excellent, local Mexican bars and restaurants we could argue that everyday is Cinco de Mayo in Milwaukee, but it’s more fun to recognize a holiday that demands we eat tacos and drink margaritas midweek.

Thus, here are five events to consider for your Cinco de Mayo fiesta. ¡Que se diverti!

1. Vagabond’s Cinco de Mayo party

Vagabond, the Mexican street taco joint at 1122 N. Edison St. (Just off Water Street) is throwing a bash from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. The event includes $4 shots of Altos tequila, a full menu available until midnight and entertainment by DJ Why B from 4 to 8 p.m. and DJ Flick from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

2. Art Lounge’s wine & food tasting night

Art Lounge in Menomonee Falls will offer four pairings of special Cinco de Mayo bites, new wines and a dessert for $30. The event runs anytime between 6 and 9 p.m. Painting while sipping and snacking is also available for $15. Register here.

3. Fiesta at Judy’s on North

Judy’s on North, 2207 E. North Ave., will host an all-day celebration from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m Drink specials run the entire day, including $5 margaritas, $3 Modelos and Coronas, and $3 Jose Cuervo shots.

4. Milwaukee Harley-Davidson’s Cinco de Luncho

Check out cool bikes and get a free lunch from Milwaukee Harley Davidson, 11310 W. Silver Spring Dr. On Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. they’re serving up complimentary hot dogs, nachos and cervezas. Commemorative shot glasses will also be available for $5 and $10.

5. Cinco de Drinko at Kompali

Kompali Taqueria, 1205 E. Brady St., rings in Cinco de Mayo with their full taco menu and drink specials all day: $3 Modelo Especial cans, $15 Modelo Especial beer buckets and $20 Margarita pitchers.
