Just over a year since Cirque du Soleil brought its first ice show to Fiserv Forum, the arena will chill out again with the iconic acrobatic troupe for six performances of its new spectacle "AXEL" in January.

The show follows an '80s rock-loving artist and musician who literally falls into one of his hand-drawn worlds to save the stolen light from the villainous Vi – all told with a combination of freestyle ice skating, a live soundtrack of popular rock songs mixed with an original score, unique special effects and visuals, and, of course, Cirque's signature gravity-defying acrobatics.

"AXEL" will skate into town for six performances spread across Jan. 9-12, 2020, with one 7:30 p.m. show on both Thursday and Friday night, followed by two performances on Saturday (3:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m., 5 p.m.).

Tickets for the show are available online at Cirque du Soleil's website

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
