Dini Gagale, co-owner of Lula’s Café, 2921 N. Oakland Ave., is opening Club Timbuktu -- a new African restaurant -- at 520 E. Center St., says his wife and partner in Lula's, Lula Osman.

Depending on when Gagale receives his liquor license, the restaurant -- which will feature African music and eventually live bands from the continent -- is set to open by the beginning of December, Osman says.

“We are still putting the menu together, so I can’t tell you what will be on it,” says Osman. But the music “will cover all countries in Africa,” she promises.
