Today 2,215 Cousins Subs were delivered to frontline workers on all three shifts at four Aurora Health Care Medical Centers.
The delivery was made possible by a week-long fund-raising initiative spearheaded by Cousins Subs, Summerfest and Disrupt Idea Co. During the fundraiser, more than 120 community members and businesses donated over $9,600.00, including significant donations from American Family Insurance, Baird Funds/Baird Advisors, Bill Specht of Cousins Subs, Christine Specht and John Palmert of Cousins Subs, Don Smiley of Milwaukee World Festival Inc. and Advantage Media Services.
"We can’t thank the community and our partners enough for this donation of more than 2,200 subs to our team members at four of our Milwaukee-area hospitals," noted Carrie Killoran, president of the Greater Milwaukee Patient Service Area. "We genuinely feel the love that went into this donation and these meals will undoubtedly raise the spirits of our employees who are working so hard to care for our patients every day."
