This stunner’s name is Cowboy.  Very fitting as he’s as dashing and as charismatic as the romantic notion of those riders on the range.

He’s a 6-year-old, Rough Coated Collie/Shepherd mix with an amazing coat of fur that is curly, dense and soft-as-silk.  Cowboy is quite proud of his handsome stature and loves to be brushed and groomed.  Grooming sessions would be a great way for Cowboy’s new guardian to bond with him.

Cowboy is an extraordinarily bright, well-trained dog; he knows many commands and will eagerly show them off to you.  He loves to demonstrate all he knows to impress you and to gain your approval. Even outside, with cars zooming by and dogs barking around him, Cowboy is focused and attentive. He would be the ideal dog to take to a tricks class.

Cowboy doesn’t need a ranch to run around on, although he certainly needs regular walks and some time to play.  Being a 6-year-old, he won’t exhaust you but could use some range-roaming around the neighborhood to keep fit.  And he’ll be the best-looking dog on the block to boot.

Although he is very polite, Cowboy would do best in a home without cats or small children, whom he would likely herd up.

The adoption fee for Cowboy and all dogs at the Wisconsin Humane Society includes neuter surgery, microchip identification, a health exam and initial vaccinations as well as one month free health insurance.
