Summer in Milwaukee and outdoor concerts go hand in hand. Trust us, we have a whole guide dedicated to it. On Wednesday evening, Deer District added one more concert series to the summer mix, and we've learned more about it on Thursday morning.
Live in the Plaza is a free concert series that will bring live music to Deer District this summer. The three-part event, supported by Deer District BID 53, will spotlight local talent in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.
Three concerts will be held at the Plaza at Fiserv Forum, with two theme nights and a nationally-known artist to be named at a later date. The series begins Sunday, July 27, with Boots & Brews, a country-themed show featuring Milwaukee area artists.
The music continues Friday August 29th, with GNO! (Girls Night Out), which will showcase an all-female lineup of DJs, live acts and vendors. The final concert is set for Saturday, September 20th, featuring the aforementioned nationally-known artist. Officials from Deer District plan to announce the headliner at a later date.
Food and drinks will be available from nearby Deer District spots throughout each show. Admission is free, and all concerts are open to the public.
