Since 1992, Denim Day has been recognized annually around the world. This year, it's on Wednesday, April 28. Denim Day recognizes the tragic regularity of sexual assault and was named after a particular woman in Italy who was blamed for her rape because she wore tight jeans.

Jessica Kaminski, owner of The Refinery Photo Studio, will honor the day with a special photo shoot for all genders after which she will donate 100 percent of studio session proceeds to the Sojourner Truth House, Pathfinders and more.
"We hope that this act of service may help to bring awareness, and perhaps help to heal those who may have experienced assault firsthand," says Kaminski.
The package includes the photography session and two retouched digital files. Photo session can include up to two people. The cost is $200 with 100 percent of the session fee going to the organizations.
"We will also have a makeup artist on site for makeup touch-ups the day of," says Kaminski.
