The official DJ of the Milwaukee Bucks, DJ Shawna, will drop a five-part documentary series on her YouTube Channel, @DJShawna, called "Dare To Be."

The passion project is an introspective look at Shawna Nichols' career and features the people who believed in her and assisted along the way.

Nichols, a Milwaukee native who played collegiate basketball for the University of Wisconsin and professionally overseas, garnered national notoriety when she served as the DJ for the "NBA Bubble" during the height of the pandemic.

Nichols also operates a "Dare To Be" clothing line and wrote a children's book.

“There have been so many people that believed in me, saw something in me, and included me in opportunities that changed not only my career but my life. I hope that you see yourself in someone in this project; whether it's myself or someone that opened a door for me,” says Nichols.

The "Dare To Be" documentary premieres on Friday, Nov. 18 and a new episode will be released every Friday through December 23.
