Doors Open Milwaukee has its first beer!
In honor of the 15th anniversary of Milwaukee's favorite exploration weekend, Historic Milwaukee Inc. has collaborated with Gathering Place Brewing Company on the limited-edition Doors Open Cream Ale.
“We are big fans of the Doors Open program and have been participating since we opened,” said Gathering Place founder Joe Yeado, who serves on the board at The Pabst Mansion.
“It’s hard to believe the program has been around for 15 years – we’re thrilled to release this collaborative beer to mark the occasion.”
Of course, it was a great time for another Cream City Brick-related beer, too, right?
This ale, said Yeado, is light with notes of biscuit, honey, and a touch of lemon. It is a new recipe created especially for this collab, according to Yeado.
The beer is available in 16-ounce cans at Outpost on Capitol Drive, in Bay View and in Wauwatosa; Gathering Place Brewing in Riverwest and Tosa; Ray's Liquor in Wauwatosa; Discount Liquor in Milwaukee; and Woodman's locations.
It will be on tap at the Swingin' Door.
Gathering Place's Riverwest brewery and taproom, 811 E. Vienna Ave., in taking part in Doors Open this year, so you can enjoy the beer there, too, during the DOMKE weekend.
