I have five quick updates today.
Sabor, 777 N. Water St., reopens today after a week of minor remodeling and a general early summer cleaning.
The Milwaukee Riverwalk is getting a new piece and an extended patio as The City Center at 735, 735 N. Water St., is building a patio and walkway for a hopeful new restaurant tenant.
Real Chili’s outside façade now looks like its inside at 419 E. Wells St. It’s a simple décor change, but it looks great.
Milwaukee Courier Company has been housed in the Germania Building for several months now, but just this week their new sign went up. It looks great. Now, they have to get the building owners to repave and repair the sidewalk outside their space.
Finally, because people love animal stories my wife spotted a deer grazing in Cathedral Square Park this morning. It bolted down Kilbourn Avenue. Who knows, maybe it was the same one that WISN captured on film a few weeks ago? Thanks, by the way, to Brendan Conway for the link. I tweeted this deer item and many people mentioned additional deer sightings on Commerce Street, Capitol Drive and near Broach on Water Street.
A life-long and passionate community leader and Milwaukeean, Jeff Sherman is a co-founder of OnMilwaukee.

Early in his career, Sherman was one of youngest members of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, and currently is involved in numerous civic and community groups - including board positions at The Wisconsin Center District, Wisconsin Club and Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. He's honored to have been named to The Business Journal's "30 under 30" and Milwaukee Magazine's "35 under 35" lists.
He owns a condo in Downtown and lives in greater Milwaukee with his wife Stephanie, his son, Jake, and daughter Pierce. He's a political, music, sports and news junkie and thinks, for what it's worth, that all new movies should be released in theaters, on demand, online and on DVD simultaneously.
