Get a jump on Valentine’s Day cocktails and romance with a little American whiskey tasting event at what my friend Molly Snyder called “the intimate, classy-and-comfortable” Edith Cocktail Bar, 228 W. Wells St.

The event is set for Monday, Feb. 12 fro 6 to 8 p.m. and features four flights that showcase some of the variety in the American whiskey world:

  • Outliers Flight One: Laird's Corn Whiskey Barrell Finish and Middle West Straight Wheat
  • Wheated Bourbon vs. Rye-Recipe Bourbon Flight Two: Willet Pot and Old Bardstown
  • Low-Rye Bourbon vs. High-Rye Bourbon Flight Three: Representative and Johnny Drum
  • American Rye Flight Four: Roulette Rye and Willett Rye

“February is the month of love so we wanted to host an event for those who truly love American Whiskey,” said Edith founder Rhondi Love.

“With a last name like Love, I knew we had to celebrate Valentine’s and a whiskey tasting is a perfect way for couple, and singles alike, to kick off the week.”

Tickets are $25 per person and include all four flights, a welcome cocktail, small bites an dessert. The event is limited to just 30 tickets, and reservations can be made online here.
