With the tying runs on base and two out, rookie first baseman Prince Fielder swung at and missed three Jason Schmidt changeups to end the Brewers‚ 2-0 loss to the San Francisco on Wednesday night at Miller Park.

After the game, Giants catcher Mike Matheny was asked if he was trying to exploit Fielder's excitement and aggressiveness.

"It wasn't so much that," said Matheny, who began his big-league career with the Brewers. "It was more a case of trying to play to the strength of my pitcher than anything else.

"I think Prince is going to be a superstar. I remember watching him take batting practice when he was 12 years old and he was hitting balls out of County Stadium. He's going to be a very special player."
