One of the joys of this past weekend of NBA playoffs basketball (beyond watching the Bucks go scorched earth on the Heat in Game 2) was hearing live crowds back inside arenas, going nuts, cheering on their favorite teams and getting shushed by Trae Young. And Milwaukee playoff games are going to sound even better as the Bucks announced today that Fiserv Forum attendance will bump up to full capacity – or 16,500 fans – for the rest of the team's postseason run.

The Bucks' next home game at Fiserv Forum is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 1, unless they win their next two games on the road against the Miami Heat.

Capacity limits in the plaza as well as nearby Deer District locations will also be removed for the remainder of the postseason.

Earlier this month, the team previously announced it would open up to 50 percent, but that was before the City of Milwaukee announced that it would expire its previous COVID capacity limits two weeks earlier than expected on June 1.

“We are excited to have our homecourt advantage return in an even bigger way and we thank Bucks fans for their continued support,” said Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin. “This is another positive step in our return to normal.”

Due to the increased fan capacity, seating will no longer be arranged in distanced pods, and the doors will open to the arena an hour before tipoff as opposed to 90 minutes. Masks, however, are still required inside the arena save for when a person is actively eating or drinking.

Additional tickets for any remaining first round playoff games at Fiserv Forum will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 27 at the Bucks' website.
