"Urban spelunking: Flushing out the reason for that lone basement toilet"
"Maybe you’ve seen one, or maybe there’s even one sitting – regally – center-stage in the middle of your basement.
"I’m talking about that lonely toilet, often smack dab in the middle of the basement of some pre-World War II homes, often with no sink or tub/shower and, often without even any walls for privacy. ...

"10 food words you're probably pronouncing incorrectly"
"If you're like most Milwaukeeans, you've learned to love the popular hot sauce with the rooster on the bottle, you've probably picked up a gyro or two for dinner on at least a few occasions, and you might even start your day with a shot of espresso. "Shift switch: Civil War reenactor"
"Every now and then, the writers here at OnMilwaukee.com decide to give other, unique jobs a try. Bobby Tanzilo, for instance, worked as a cheesemaker for a day, a record store clerk and harvested soybeans. Publisher Andy Tarnoff spent a day with a Milwaukee police officer on the K-9 unit. Senior writer Molly Snyder has sampled careers as a magician’s assistant, diaper washer (a job that somehow exists and is a thing) and most recently, a role in the Milwaukee Ballet’s 'The Nutcracker.'
"Me? Well, I recently fought in the Civil War." [Read more right here]
