Season's eatings! The weather may be getting colder, but Dining Month on OnMilwaukee is just cooking up, dishing out your winning picks in this year's Best of Dining poll. Dining Month is brought to you by Fein Brothers, your premier food service equipment and supply dealer in Wisconsin since 1929. Congratulations to all of the winners, and happy eating for all those who voted!

A small but vocal percentage of the population has superhero-like tastebuds that are able to detect chemical compounds called aldehydes which cause the leafy green garnish to have a soap-like taste. Or the soapy taste sensation could be genetic.

However, most people find cilantro akin to parsley, perhaps its zestier-but-unoffensive cousin. And all people are prone to getting it stuck between their teeth right before a meeting with their boss.

How about you? Is cilantro a tasty garnish or an herb that's meant to scrub dishes rather than consume?
