Love food trucks? So do we! So much so that OnMilwaukee partnered with Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. to bring the first MKE Food Truck Fest to Henry Maier Festival Park in July. Find out more hereIn 2017, Laquana Beverly-Fitzgerald took her passion for food to the next level and opened Lovely & Tasty Walking Taco catering service and pop-up eatery. This summer, she will introduce a food truck that's currently in build-out mode.

"I've always wanted to open a restaurant and I look at this as a start," says Beverly-Fitzgerald.

Walking Taco offers Mexican foods that are easy to eat while on the go like loaded nachos (served in the Doritos bag!), deep fried tacos wraps, potato tacos, loaded tomatoes, jumbo pickles and more.

Type of food: Mexican / Mexican-American

Most popular item: Deep fried taco wraps

Vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options: "Any of our menu items can be made without meat if asked," says Beverly-Fitzgerald.

Where can people find your truck this summer? It will debut at the MKE Food Truck Fest.

Where does the name come from? "I first called it 'Walking Taco' but after a couple of years it became so popular that in 2019 I officially changed it to 'Love & Tasty Walking Taco,'" says Beverly-Fitzgerald.

If you could park your truck anywhere for one day where would it be? "I'm not sure, but I love to travel so I would love to bring my food all over the world," says Beverly-Fitzegerald.
