Channel 6 news director Jim Lemon says the Fox station has hired West Allis native Justin Zollitsch as a staff meteorologist, and he'll start in mid-October. He's now working at Green Bay's WBAY-TV, where he does morning and midday weather.
Zollitsch will do weekend and midday weather on Channel 6.
His mid-October start means the departure of veteran Bart Adrian has been delayed. Adrian has agreed to stay on the job until October, rather than leave this month.
Zollitsch, by the way, reports that his first visit to Channel 6 came when he took a station tour at the age of 9. He was also a college intern for Vince Condella.
