It's National Burger month, and that means it's time for the Georgie Porgie's annual burger contest, an annual tradition which carries on for its seventh year running.

Have you been perfecting your burger making skills? Do you have a red hot idea for a creatively conceived burger you'd love to see on the menu? If so, you're in luck. Entries for the annual competition are being accepted on the Georgie Porgie's website through Friday, May 15. 

Here's how it works.

  1. You submit your outrageously delicious burger online before the deadline. You get bonus points for including local ingredients.
  2. Georgie Porgie’s narrows down the entries down to a top 10, which will be posted online on Tuesday, May 18.
  3. Treefort fans will then be able vote for their favorite burger via text through Friday, May 21.
  4. The top five burgers that make it through the customer voting process will then be passed on to a panel of judges including Milwaukee Brewers announcers Bill Schroeder and Tim Dillard Ed Sedar of the Brewers, retired Brewers bullpen catcher Marcus (Koos) Hanel, Brian Kramp of Fox 6, Lyndsey Slater of WISN Marcus Allen of WKLH and Lori Fredrich of OnMilwaukee (that’s me).
  5. Live judging will take place on Tuesday, May 25 at 11 a.m. at Georgie Porgie's Oak Creek.

The lucky winner will receive free burgers for a year, Georgie Porgie's 30th Anniversary merchandise, a spot on next year's judging panel and bragging rights. In addition, their winning burger will be featured on the menu at both Georgie Porgie’s locations throughout the month of June.
