Over the past few years, the term "Gig Economy" has been trending – and for good reason. The Gig Economy refers to 36 percent of U.S. workers who parted ways with traditional nine-to-five jobs to be their own boss through freelance opportunities, independent contracts and other revenue-generating side hustles.

Technology has played a huge role in the rise of the Gig Economy presenting flexible opportunities to earn income through Uber, Etsy, DoorDash and Upwork. From Uber drivers to independent consultants, gig workers are finding a way to turn their side hustles into full-time gigs.

On this episode of The GoGedders Podcast, you’ll hear from Sarah Ferrance, who previously held positions at Bon-Ton, Kohl's and Harley Davidson before leaving the corporate world to start her own consulting firm; Hyacinth Nembhardt, who has a side hustle catering frozen/blended beverages; and Beth Ridley, who recently left a successful corporate career to launch a career wellness company.

We cover everything from how to take the leap from side-hustle to full-time career, to the many lessons and misconceptions of being your own boss. Tune in to get inspired!
