For the second annual Gospel Celebration, Summerfest and African World Festival are teaming up. The two fests are setting up a choir competition in which 10 choirs will compete for the title of "Grand Champion."
July 1 and 8, during Summerfest, the choirs will be judged and cut down to to four choirs. These choirs will go on to the African World Festival finals August 5. All the choirs are guaranteed a $500 prize, but the winner will receive $3,000 and a trophy.
Choirs interested in participating should send a tape with three musical performances to the Summerfest offices, 200 N. Harbor Dr., prior to June 8.
