The latest in Spectacular Milwaukee Weekend News is that Great Lakes Distillery, 616 W. Virginia St., now has new frozen slushie drinks made from their award winning, on-site-distilled spirits.

The icy cocktails are $8 each and currently available in two flavors: the Caramel Milwaukiatto (Still & Oak Straight Bourbon, Good Land Coffee Liqueur, coffee, caramel, cream) and Gins and Roses (Rehorst Barrel Reserve Gin, rose flower water and lemonade).

"We will change them when we run out so it's an ever-evolving thing," says Guy Rehorst, owner of Great Lakes Distillery.

Rehorst opened Great Lakes Distillery in 2004. At the time, it was the first distillery to open in the state since Prohibition.
