Walnut Way's vibrant neighborhood, Lindsay Heights, will showcase our diverse strengths and talents this year at the annual street festival, Harvest Day, on Saturday, Sept. 17 from noon to 4 p.m. on the 2200 block of North 17th Street.
Join us in celebration of our unity and reclamation of the power of our communities. Each year residents and friends gather to honor the strengths of our neighborhood and set a tradition of connecting with one other and the greater Milwaukee community.
Harvest Day provides activities for the whole family; local food, music, and children’s activities. Informational booths from Milwaukee-area organizations and vendors selling goods will be on-site throughout the day.
This event is free and open to the public.
Harvest Day highlights:
- Press conference with elected officials begins at 12 p.m.
- Live performances will light up the street with live music from AhVant Soul, musical DJs, Nefertari African Dancers, Milwaukee Flyers and more.
- Local businesses will be selling freshly prepared food, salsas, ice-cream and fresh juice from The Juice Kitchen.
- Youth stations will showcase live animals from Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, art activities led by local artists, neighbors and Artists Working in Education (AWE), and Public Ally Americorps volunteers.
- Informational booths will be available to showcase non-profit resources available in the community.
- 50/50 cash raffle gives ticket buyers the chance to win cash.
