Earlier today, Potawatomi Casino Hotel kicked off the 2025 Heart of Canal Street campaign. This is the 31st year of Potawatomi’s signature charity giving program, which benefits children’s charities in southeast Wisconsin.
Thirty children’s charities will benefit from this year’s fundraising efforts, which culminate with a finale celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Since its debut its 1994, Heart of Canal Street has helped more than 350 children’s charities with a fundraising total of more than $21 million.
During the finale, 25 charities will be chosen at random to receive funding. Four organizations have already been selected by Potawatomi media partners, and this year, Potawatomi team members will get to help choose one lucky winner.
Charities that wish to apply for the random drawing can do so starting Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The largest source of support comes from a special Heart of Canal Street bingo game played during every bingo session at Potawatomi.
This year, guests can also enjoy two cool drink specials, with one dollar from each drink going to the fundraising total. Cream City Coffee Company offers the “Cup of Heart Refresher,” and guests can enjoy a “Fruity Pebbles” Milkshake (colors inspired by the Heart of Canal Street logo) at the Potawatomi Marketplace.
