Snuggle up with some holiday cheer as OnMilwaukee shares stories of everything merry and bright in the spirit of the season.

The OnMilwaukee Ho Ho Holiday Guide is brought to you by Educators Credit Union, Harley-Davidson Museum and MolsonCoors

Get into a very merry mood with OnMilwaukee with the second annual Holiday Snowflick, a festive – and free! – outdoor movie screening hitting the big screen at Bayshore on Thursday, Dec. 8.

Hosted from 6-8 p.m. by yours truly in The Yard, this year's Holiday Snowflick showing ditches the Hallmark in favor of high-profile stars with our festive film selection: 2015's "Love the Coopers," starring Diane Keaton, Ed Helms, John Goodman, Amanda Seyfried, Timothee Chalamet, Marisa Tomei, Alan Arkin, Jake Lacy, Olivia Wilde and Steve Martin as a family trying to reunite in time for the holidays – or, at the very least, survive the chaos of the holiday season.

It's a little tart with a lot of heart – aka the ideal combination for a Christmas movie.

To help keep things cozy at the free outdoor screening, guests are encouraged to bring their own comfy chairs and brr-blocking blankets – and if that's not enough, Kilwins will open up a hot cider and hot chocolate pop-up in The Yard for some soul-warming sweet heat. To further fight off any pesky Wisconsin winter – or any holiday hunger grumblings – Meat on the Street, Pedro's and Rose Mob Grill will cook up tasty stomach-filling and body-heating eats from their respective food trucks parked nearby. And for bonus feasting back home, Wild Fork Foods will be handing out coupons for its delivered meats and seafood – just in time for your big holiday dinners.

The only way it could all get more festive and fun is there happened to be an adorable holiday cookie factory nearby churning out gingerbread treats – oh, would you look at that?! Indeed, after all the Christmas chuckles and cheer on the screen Thursday night, make sure to stop back at Bayshore over the weekend and venture over to the Kooky Cooky House, a throwback thrill for generations now calling The Yard at Bayshore home for the holiday season.

The Holiday Snowflick is free to attend – however, there are a limited number of VIP tickets available as well, offering a heated viewing area, Italian eats for dinner from Marsel's Italian Restaurant, a hot apple cider or hot chocolate from Kilwins, a BOGO brewery tour and root beer from Sprecher and a cozy OnMilwaukee sherpa blanket for $30. And here's to seeing you all for some festive film fun at the Holiday Snowflick next month!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
